sbo666 LIVERPOOL’S Merseyside derby against Everton does not matter to the Reds, and is actually a hindrance.

That is the opinion of Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson.

The Anfield club beat Manchester City in a mammoth Champions League clash.

Mohamed Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sadio Mane all scored to compound the Premier League leaders to a 3-0 loss.

And Liverpool face the Toffees in the early kick-off on Saturday, something Jurgen Klopp is unhappy with.

And Merson believes Klopp will rest a number of key tars in preparation for next week’s second leg sbo666

The ex-Arsenal midfielder said on The Debate: “I don’t think this is important to Liverpool. I just think they need to rest players.

“There was a lot of hard work put into that [City] game and players worked their socks off, the nerves, the energy, everything.

“It’s a quick turnaround, back into training for a little light warm down and they’re playing Saturday morning.

“Before you know it you’re back in again and working for Tuesday’s game. For me he has to rest players.

“Salah won’t play. Definitely won’t. Touch and go if he plays Tuesday and you’ve got to look at other players.

“Surely Firmino and Mane can’t play in this game because if Salah isn’t playing you can’t afford one of them to get injured. sbo666

22-year-old set to see out the final year of his contract despite run-ins with Mourinho

ลิ้ ง sbo Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is prepared to stay put for the final year of his Old Trafford contract despite receiving limited gametime under Jose Mourinho last term.

Earlier in March, the Englishman was reported to be considering a summer exit after falling out with Jose Mourinho in an FA Cup quarter-final game against Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, Shaw thereafter managed to start a few games towards the end of the season and he is now keen on remaining with the club despite offers from Chelsea and Tottenham, The Mail reports. ลิ้ ง sbo

Shaw was recruited under Louis van Gaal from Southampton in 2014 with a view to becoming the club’s left-back for the long-run. But things have since not gone as planned for the 22-year-old but he appears optimistic of regaining the confidence of Mourinho.

Shaw’s poor attitude and fitness concerns have been echoed by the Portuguese on many occasions and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the Englishman, should a new player come in.

Alex Sandro of Juventus have been touted as the leading target for this summer’s transfer window with Mourinho allegedly wanting to replace Ashley Young in the left-back position next season. ลิ้ ง sbo
